REACHING WIMBUM WITH THE GOSPEL THROUGH ETHNO-ARTS EVANGELISM

Music plays an important role in Christian life. It gives us the opportunity to express emotions and thoughts in praise-in-worship. Our heart music is one of the channels through which the Holy Spirit speaks to us deeply. People of all ages enjoy singing, playing a musical instrument dancing or just listening to their favourite music. When individuals bring themselves to Christ to be redeemed, they bring their culture as well, so that they are redeemed and become what God intended them to be.

The Soterian Mission is the ethno-arts & counseling ministry that pilots outreach and discipleship. It also moderates, translates and offers training to Soterian Missionaries, especially in the languages of the heart for the healing of hearts – Trauma Healing.

Literacy is a pivotal component of TNI and an essential tool with which the SMM will fashion ministration. We understand from the Holy Scriptures that God translated Himself from eternity to earth in the person of Jesus Christ to communicate with us in our local languages and to commune with us through our cultures John 1:14. What led to the conversion of the 3,000, in Acts 2, was their understanding of the emissaries or apostles, when they miraculously spoke their local languages. The SMM, therefore, seeks to reach indigenous people with the Gospel with cultural relevance-in the language of the heart-to see God's vision R7:9:10 accomplished.
